The Greek Arts
Many people are familiar with classical Greek statury, architecture, literature and folk songs, and most tourists to Greece will have seen Greek village dancing, though not necessarily formal dancing by dancers wearing traditional costumes. Greeks love to dance and now that Methoni restaurants have more foreign visitors than Greeks, I miss the nights when there was spontaneous dancing.Ancient Greek literature has also spread throughout the world, and at the ancient theatre at Epidavros on the Peloponnese there is an annual programme of classical plays.
Visitors to Athens can attend performances of live music and theatre at the Acropolis as well as other city venues.
Exhibitions of modern and traditional art, not just from Greece, can be found throughout Athens and larger Greek towns
Costume
There is an interesting Costume Museum on the sea-front at Corinth.
Greeks Artefacts
Are copied to this day as souvenirs. Traditional designs in terracotta and black are very effective in modern homes while the blue and white of the islands is a happy combination. Further Information: Reference sites:and
